    Praised for "sophisticated, warm intensity, radiant timbre and well-balanced, harmonious performance style" (Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany) violinist Arik Braude has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. His recent performances of concertos by Bach, Haydn and Mendelssohn (double) with the JVNY camerata in repeated appearances at New York's Bargemusic as well as in Geneva (Switzerland) and throughout France brought audiences to their feet. As an avid chamber musician, Mr. Braude has performed at many chamber music festivals including Music @ Menlo (U.S.), Festival des Arcs (France), Killington Chamber Music Festival (U.S.), and numerous concert series in the U.S., France, Germany, Belgium, and Italy. Arik Braude is currently an adjunct professor at the Aaron Copland Conservatory at Queen's College. He has served on the jury panel of the Johannes  Brahms Competition Pörtschach (Austria) since 2016. His students have appeared as soloists with orchestras in the U.S, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Portugal, including the New York Philharmonic and the Mainz KammerOrchester. They have won prizes in many international competitions including the Johannes Brahms Competition (Austria) and From the Top (U.S.). He has given master classes in the U.S., the U.K, France, Germany, and Portugal. An interview about his teaching was published in The Strad Magazine and Mr. Braude has contributed to the magazine's "Ask the Experts" column. Mr. Braude is the artistic director of JVNY, Inc., a stellar ensemble of young professional musicians a tthe onset of their professional careers, and of the JVNY international chamber music workshops in France and Portugal. He has recorded for Talent Classic Records, Inc., Le Chant de Linos, and Music@Menlo. His teachers include his father, Natan V. .Braude, at the special music school in the former Soviet Union, Peter Bondarenko and Felix Andrievsky at the Rubin Academy of Music in Israel, Jens Ellermann at the Hannover Hochshule für Musik, Theater und Medien, Yfrah Neaman in London, and Sally Thomas in New York. Mr. Braude has participated in intensive masterclasses with Isaac Stern, Ruggiero Ricci, and Alexander Schneider, among others. He completed his doctoral studies (ABD)  at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). Mr. Braude plays a Gennaro GAgliano violin made in Napoli in 1754. He has served on the violin faculty of the Preparatory Division at the Mannes College of Music since 1994, and chaired the department of strings from 1997 to 2000.
