We’re here to guide you through the New School application process. Many students and their communities have been affected by natural disasters this year. If you're among those who have been affected and have questions or concerns about deadline extensions,
fee waivers, or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us with requests for support and flexibility. If you have any questions, please email our Admission counselors at [email protected].
Each of our graduate programs has unique application requirements for the application process, such as auditions, portfolio submissions, or essays. Our Office of Admission has created helpful videos to
assist you in preparing the various elements of your application file.

Application Fee Waivers
The New School can provide application fee waivers for international and domestic students who have a demonstrated financial hardship that makes paying the application fee burdensome. The online admission application allows applicants to provide information regarding their personal situation and indicate the need for a fee waiver. Once you begin your admission application, you'll have the option to pursue this process.
In addition, The New School provides application fee waivers for applicants applying with affiliation with select organizations (e.g., IIE or Fulbright and Peace Corps). Applicants are prompted to indicate this information in the online application.
