• Portfolio Requirements

  • The portfolio is an important piece of the application. Parsons School of Design assesses portfolios based on the technical and conceptual abilities displayed in the work.

Fashion Design and the Arts (MFA)

The MFA of Fashion Design and the Arts at Parsons Paris will require a portfolio in order to be considered for admission. Applicants must submit their portfolio via the Digital Portfolio component of their online application. Materials sent separately (postal mail, email, etc.) will not be accepted.

At the graduate level, the expectation is that the work submitted will be tailored to the program to which you apply.

You are requested to submit a portfolio of 25 to 40 images that best document your design and/or art work and process. These may include sketches related to research and design development work, drawings, essays, design projects, fashion collections, artworks, installations, performances, photographs, illustrations, video clips, websites, or other formats that best represent your work and convey your vision. Please include short descriptions of each project, its context and concept, and your role in its development if it is team-based.
