• Hybrid Format

  • In an effort to make its academic offerings even more flexible and accessible to students around the world, the Studley Graduate Programs in International Affairs have introduced a new optional hybrid format (one year online and one year in person) for students in both the MA and the MS International Affairs programs.*

Starting in fall 2023, students in the MA International Affairs program will have the option to complete the first 18 credits (6 courses) of the curriculum fully online and complete the remaining 24 credits (6 courses plus Capstone Project) on campus at The New School's New York City campus.

Most courses are taken in the fall and spring semesters of each academic year, but students can also take courses during the summer between their first and second year—in New York City on the New School campus or through the UN Summer Study program or abroad through the International Field Program.

*The Capstone Project must be completed in-person. Students participating in the hybrid MS International Affairs program should consult with their academic advisors.
