    Traveling Flowers

My thesis collection, Traveling Flowers, is a series of beaded bags and charms inspired by an analogy: Everyone starts off as a seed, one that is planted in a ground that it cannot choose. For a seed to bloom, it must choose the ground that nurtures it best.

My bags and charms represent the flowers that are us, being taken to the place where they can be nurtured and bloom to their fullest potential.

In the project, I used 40,000 glass beads and crystals provided to me through a Swarovski sponsorship. The lining is hand-woven macrame. The project took around three months to complete.
