  • The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) is no longer accepting new applications at The New School. We are, however, continuing to provide services and funding for students currently enrolled in the program.

The New School Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program is a New York State Education Department–funded program that offers financial, academic, and socio-emotional support for five years of undergraduate study and related educational activities. It is designed specifically for economically and educationally disadvantaged students who might not meet traditional college admissions criteria but demonstrate promise and potential for academic achievement and success.

HEOP has successfully supported students at The New School for many years. HEOP students at The New School have graduation rates of more than 73 percent within a five-year period, have hundreds of counseling hours, and participate in extracurricular activities across the university including but not limited to our Parsons Scholars Program, robotics internships, and serving as interns for marketing within our HEOP office.
