Grid View List View Jennifer MacDonald Director of the Center for Graduate Career and Professional Development Jennifer MacDonald, Director of the Center for Graduate Career and Professional Development Jennifer (she/her/hers) has more than a decade of experience working with graduate students and has a deep understanding of their development needs. Before joining The New School, Jennifer managed the STEM Diversity Institute at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Jennifer is an active member of the Graduate Career Consortium and has studied in France, in Canada, and at Brandeis University in Boston, where she undertook her doctorate in comparative European history. Hope Newman Graduate Career Advisor Hope Newman, Graduate Career Advisor Hope has more than a decade of experience helping graduate students and alumni across New School graduate programs. Connecting with students individually and in workshops, she addresses topics ranging from job search strategy and career assessment to interviewing, salary negotiation, personal branding, and LinkedIn. Before becoming a career counselor, Hope worked briefly in television news, PR, law, and secondary education. Hope has lived and worked in Tokyo; Washington, DC; and New York. She holds a master's degree in group work from Hunter College School of Social Work, a master’s degree in East Asian languages and literature from Columbia University, and an undergraduate degree in comparative Japanese literature from Brown University. Dillon Yruegas Program Administrator Dillon Yruegas, Program Administrator Dillon Yruegas (he/él) is a queer trans mixed coahuiltecan/xicano theater maker from his ancestral homelands in Central Texas. He holds both a BFA in Theatre and a BA in Spanish from Texas State University. Before becoming the program administrator for the Career Development team at The New School, he was the assistant director of the Broadway Green Alliance, a fellow with HowlRound Theatre Commons, and a company member of The Vortex Repertory Theatre. He is also a steering committee member of the Latinx Theatre Commons and a workshop facilitator for trans inclusion in theater through Gender Explosion. Heather Golden Events & Industry Engagement Manager Heather Golden, Events and Industry Engagement Manager Heather Golden is an experienced educator, facilitator, and user-researcher who applies strategic design approaches to her work in career services. Heather has a background in both education and design and works extensively with undergraduate Parsons students and employers. She loves combining her passions to create rich experiences for students and employers. Heather has her doctorate and master's in higher education and holds a BFA from FIT. She has presented at NASPA, ACPA, and AICAD on issues in higher education, with a focus on LGBTQ student populations. She is a certified Designing Your Life Coach and has served in several leadership roles at arts and design schools across the country. Heather has implemented Designing Your Life and NACE Career Competencies in co-curricular workshops. Before working in higher education, Marion enjoyed a career in sales, marketing, and recruiting. She gained extensive experience in those areas while working for major Canadian retailers and a large marketing firm in Toronto. Nicole Paronzini Internship Program Manager Nicole Paronzini, Internship Program Manager Nicole has more than eight years of experience helping college students from all cultural, social, and linguistic backgrounds reach their academic and professional goals. Originally from Italy, Nicole came to the United States for her graduate studies. She received her PhD in Comparative Literature from The Graduate Center, CUNY, in February 2022 and has been teaching at various universities in the NYC metropolitan area. A graduate of Princeton University's English and Creative Writing program, her professional background spans the sectors of recruiting, books, art, and museums.
