Continuing students are those who are currently in housing and wish to live in New School student housing in New York City for the 2023–2024 academic year. The Housing Application will be available on the housing portal for continuing students who wish to live in the residence halls for the upcoming academic year.
Special Housing Accommodations
In accordance with applicable federal, state, and city disability laws, The New School's Student Disability Services office will review your request for special housing accommodations.
Housing accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis, taking the student's documented disability-related needs and prevailing standards for reasonable accommodations into consideration. Fill out the request form to request a special housing accommodation.
How to Apply
Once you have all the information described above, you can begin your application for student housing.
- Log in to my.newschool.edu.
- Select the Services tab and find the housing application link.
- Fill out the online application.
- Electronically sign the 2023–2024 Housing License Agreement.
- Pay the non-refundable housing deposit of $350 (part of submitting the application).
Your Housing Application is not complete until you have made your $350 housing deposit.
Application Deadline
You must apply by the priority deadline in order to be guaranteed housing for the 2023–2024 academic year. Log in to my.newschool.edu and complete and submit the online application. Be prepared to pay the
non-refundable $350 housing deposit when you submit your application.
While applications will be accepted after the priority deadline, students will be placed in spaces on the basis of what is available. If we reach a point where all spaces are filled, we will open up the Housing waitlist for students to sign up. If you are placed
on the waitlist, please be sure to look for alternative housing off campus, as we may not be able to provide housing to all students on the waitlist.
